As part of our “Meet the Krü” series, we spotlight the newest kids on the block, Lisa & Tom Weber, the managers of Krü’s second cafe location, now open in Burlington, Vermont.
By way of Vail, Colorado, Lisa and Tom Weber have made their own niche in Burlington, Vermont with overseeing the new Krü Coffee flagship located at 2 Church Street. Offering the same quality coffees and sandwiches as our Saratoga Springs, New York roastery and cafe, the secondary location will also have house made donuts and baked goods available fresh every day.
Lisa is the youngest sibling of Krü Coffee co-owners, Kristi (Miller) Brock and Ryan Miller, and has spent the last 13 years in Colorado with her husband, Tom. With over 15 years of experience in the service industry, Lisa and Tom are excited to bring their hospitality to the Burlington community.
Lisa and Tom Weber
After you meet Lisa, you will quickly see that she has brought her own touch of design and flair to the new location with whimsical colors and patterns, as well as an eclectic style to the customer seating. Customers will also notice the subtle nods to Lisa’s personality, such as peace signs and Phish references hidden within the counter tops and throughout the store, as well as her own personal art donning the walls; creating a space that is crisp and clean with a dreamy feel.
Since day one of opening its doors, Krü Coffee BVT has had troves of guests from open to close, daily. By the number of folks working, conversing, or simply enjoying the space Lisa has cultivated, one would least expect business hours to be concluding at closing time—currently 5 p.m. every day. However, there are plans to extend night time hours in the near future to accommodate guests’ needs and host a variety of events involving music and art.
Customers can expect to see a food menu debuting around early Spring 2020 at Krü Coffee BVT, including donuts—made in house, with plans for a vegan option—and breakfast sandwiches. Baked goods currently offered are provided by local bakery, Williston Coffee, until the kitchen is up and running. However, even with currently limited food options, most seating has been full for the duration of open hours.
We invite you to visit us in our new (second) home in Vermont to meet our newest members of the Krü-Crew and see what’s brüing in Burlington.
